Character, Perseverance & Service

At Na Martial Arts, Taekwondo is more than a sport — it is a lifelong practice of character, perseverance, and service. We teach our students to move with respect, act with integrity, and approach every challenge with a never-quit mindset.

Our training builds confidence, focus, and emotional strength, helping students grow into individuals who uplift others and contribute meaningfully to their community. We believe that a true martial artist is defined not only by skill, but by the heart to serve and the courage to lead.

From our Little Warrior Program (ages 4-6) to our Teen & Adult classes, every student at Na Martial Arts receives expert instruction, individual encouragement, and a training environment built on respect and excellence.

I'm HyungKyung Na, Head Instructor here at Na Martial Arts. As one of the leads of the UC Berkeley Martial Art Club and the UC Davis Taekwondo Club, I have obtained over 15 gold medals from Korean National and international Taekwondo Championships.

As a martial arts instructor with extensive experience training kids, there is nothing better than seeing them grow firsthand. But more important than the martial arts skills they learn… is the personal skills they develop and carry for life. Because martial arts is so much more than just kicking and punching, and getting the next colorful belt.

It's about developing confidence, discipline, character, focus and respect. With every class we teach, your kids are growing in mind, body and character. Through learning to focus on the core moves, they develop discipline and respect. They can instantly see and feel a difference, making them destined to build confidence, self-awareness and self-respect.

And of course it's a ton of FUN! That's why I love teaching martial arts to kids in this community, and why I know your kids are going to LOVE training.
